The problem
PUBG MOBILE needed to scale community tournaments across multiple regions while keeping competitive play open to players at every skill level. The core challenge was finding a platform that could integrate directly into the PUBG MOBILE ecosystem via API, so organizers could create and manage tournaments without leaving the game's native environment.
Opening competitive play to every skill level
What set this partnership apart was the focus on accessibility. By integrating Challengermode's Game Integration API, PUBG MOBILE gave organizers of all sizes the tools to run properly structured competitions. A community organizer in Brazil could set up a 64-player tournament with the same automated bracket management and result reporting as an official KRAFTON event. The leaderboard system tied results together across tournaments, giving players a reason to compete regularly and track their progress over time. Combined with automated prize payouts, this created a self-sustaining competitive ecosystem where players kept coming back and organizers kept hosting.
