Noun of the Day Dota 2 Tournament

Every day a new Noun is built, and we celebrate it with a tournament. Compete in a single-elimination format. No smurfs, alternate accounts, private accounts, or win-traders allowed. Every 10th Noun features a unique event!

Format

• Single Elimination
• All matches are Bo1.
• All games are played in Captain's Mode.
• Series kick off at 4pm PT, 6pm CT, and 7pm ET.

Stream

• All players are allowed to stream their gameplay.
• To maintain fair play, it is recommended to set a delay in OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) to prevent stream sniping.

Key Highlights

• When Does It Start?
  The tournament will only begin once there are 2 ready teams. No exceptions!

• Format
  Single-Elimination bracket. If you lose, you’re out – so bring your best strategy!

• Time Management
  Teams will have 7 minutes between the Challenger Mode lobby and the match lobby. If you’re not in the lobby on time, you forfeit the game.

Rules

• All Players Must Have a Public Profile:
  No private profiles are allowed under any circumstances.

• No Smurfs or Alternate Accounts:
  Players must use their main account. Smurfs and alternate accounts are strictly prohibited.

• No Wintraders (Outside of the Tournament):
  Fair play is mandatory. If a player is found to have engaged in win trading (outside the tournament itself) during or before the tournament, they will not be disqualified but will be exiled from the Chompix Hub permanently.

Payments

• Prize Distribution:
  Cash payments will be distributed via Challenger Mode platform except custom prizes.

• Prize Forfeiture Rules:

  • If any player is found to have a private profile during or within the tournament timeframe, the entire prize will be voided.
  • If any player is found to be using a smurf, alternate account, or engaging in win trading, the prize will also be voided.

Q&A

What if a team is late?
There will be no active admin overseeing the tournament. If you miss your queue due to any reason, your team will be disqualified. No reschedules or exceptions. GG.

What if I’m playing against a potentially smurf player?
Just play the game and do your best. If the player is confirmed to be a smurf, they will be exiled from the Chompix Hub permanently. Since there isn’t an active admin, there’s nothing we can do at the given moment. Apologies for the inconvenience! You can report the incident, and we will evaluate the request within 72 hours.

Can we contact someone for help during the event?
No active admins will be available during the tournament. The games will run as scheduled, and it’s up to the teams to ensure everything goes smoothly.
