1v1 Tourney lets go!!!!
Please join Moonlit Battleground's Space to keep up with future tourneys.
Rules:
Bracket format: Double Elim, bracket reset(?) Not sure if challengermode does bracket reset. Maybe it will just be game advantage in GF
Character switching: First match choose whatever you want Can only change characters if you lose a match.
Map: The one in Anikka (can't remember the name right now)
The following sections might be outdated (don't have time to check right now)
My rule of trust I trust players will enter this tournament with a sense of fun and competition and not with the intentions to hurt others. However I do understand these games can get heated and I trust that players will have a sense of what is acceptable and not acceptable. If a player breaks this trust, I will not take it lightly.
Toxicity For the most part I do not believe I can create a blanket set of rules in regards to how players and teams communicate with one another. I believe there is a place for friendly banter but when that banter turns into toxicity is where the waters begin to muddy. With that in mind, toxicity will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
In general if you don't think you should say something, don't say it. Things such as racism or other forms of language that are intended to belittle or offend others beyond silly banter will not be tolerated. Yes this is a broad and general guideline but this is why I said toxicity will be held on a case by case basis. Perhaps as I gain more experience from this tournament and I decided to make future tournaments this section will be more developed.
In-game chat All chat will be restricted during rounds. By that I mean. When teams are in the "lobby area" before or after a round, these restrictions do not apply. Once the countdown has finished and the round begins, then these restrictions are applied.
Players must keep the use of all chat to a bare minimum while a round is being played out.
Outside or in-between rounds, teams are free to talk with one another.
Comments such as "good round" or "that was a nice play" are of course acceptable.
With that being said, complaints of excessive toxicity will be dealt with on a case by base basis.
If you feel a player is being toxic please take pictures. I also suggest the use of Nvidia Shadowplay or recording your matches as that can provide more context.
Leavers/In-game technical difficulties If a player disconnects during a match and before a kill or some sort of advantage/disadvantage, feel free to remake the game. If one team has some sort of clear disadvantage and player leaves/dc, the match must be played out. The teams may discuss and ask to remake the game or play as 2v2, but this is up to the players and the team with player advantage does not have to agree. If teams agree, there needs to be a written approval in chat AND a screenshot must be taken and sent to the #la-post-match channel on discord. This will be looked at on a case by case basis if there is any suspicion of foul play.
Cheating, exploits, and system/bug abuse I have to be a little general and vague here as I am not super familiar with how people exploit and cheat in Lost Ark. Basically... if I have any sort of reasonable suspicion of someone cheating I will use my judgement as Tournament Organizer to remove said team from a tournament. Since this is a team based tournament, if 1 player is caught cheating on a team, the team as a whole will be removed. However, if there is sufficient evidence that only one member cheated then consequences will be different for each member.
