Acceptance of the Rules

Apex Legends Contenders (ALC) is a community competition organised and managed by Coffin Dodgers.Each participant or team representative upon registration of the tournament, confirms that they have read, understood and accepted all rules and regulations stated in this document.Coffin Dodgers reserve the right to remove, modify or change the rules without further notice on any stage of the tournament to save the sport integrity of the tournament. Coffin Dodgers also reserve the right to make decisions on cases not covered by the current rulebook to prevent any breaching on fair competition and sportsmanship.

Tournament

A Tournament official participant is a team or a player that is participating in the ALC competition. The teams and registered members are accountable for all penalties or rule violations registered members made during the tournament.

Eligibility The tournament is open to the regions listed on Challenger Mode

Coffin Dodgers reserves the right to ask any player, who is playing in the tournament, to prove the regional participation eligibility and has the right to not allow players to continue participating in the tournament without the valid documents provided. Players must have an active Origin/Xbox/Playstation account that is in good standing with no bans or suspensions.

Other criteria such as account and rank level will be determined and communicated by Coffin Dodgers on event announcement.

Match Procedure

In the event that 5% (3 players) or more of the lobby cannot connect to the game, the match will be abandoned and restarted, providing the Team Captains have notified the Tournament Admin within the appropriate amount of time.Restarts will only ever occur otherwise in case of an emergency situation, such as mistake in the server settings, server-side issue which caused drop of all the players.

Participation agreement and Punctuality

Teams agreeing to these terms confirm their participation in the event and agree to be punctual throughout the tournament according to the times set by Coffin Dodgers. Communication Coffin Dodgers will provide Discord voice communication for all teams during the matches. Coffin Dodgers reserves the right to enter and be present on these channels for monitoring and informative purposes.Tournament start times and lobby information will be available on the respective channel via the Coffin Dodgers discord, it is the Team Captains responsibility to ensure this is checked.

Rule Violations

Each player and team representative, staff and visitors agree to behave in a respectful manner to any person during the event. They understand that the organizer will need to react on any report about harassment on gender, age, or any other insults, and will be punished with the possibility of disqualification from the tournament.

In case of a single violation, participants will be punished or get a warning according to the severity of the violation. If they continue to act unmannerly and disrespectful towards other people – they may be disqualified from the tournament.

Any software which is giving anyone advantage during the game, listed here but not limited to the ones below is prohibited and will result in immediate disqualification from the tournament:– Using any cheats, hacks or other third party “helper” applications in playing matches

– Intentionally disconnecting from the Internet during any match – Colluding with other teams in playing matches – Taking advantage of known exploits in the game (it is the responsibility of players to understand and avoid all current illegal exploits

Cheating and bans – Coffin Dodgers reserves the right to investigate into a players history on the following; Origin/EA/Xbox/Playstation/GLL

If team members are found to have previous bans and the like on the above platforms, Coffin Dodgers reserves the right to refuse participation of said player, and in circumstances, the entire team

Usage of bugs or game glitches is prohibited. If a player discovers a new bug or glitch, he is obligated to immediately report it to head admin before using it. The usage of the following bugs is strictly forbidden. If any bug is used which is not listed here it is up to the referee’s discretion whether or not a punishment will be given. – Moving through clipped areas where the movement by the design of the map is not possible is strictly forbidden (any walls, ceilings, floors, etc). – Watching through textures, which is not designed by the game; We recommend checking with the tournament referees whether certain bug or glitch is considered prohibited.

Live Broadcasting

Games will be broadcast live from Coffin Dodgers Twitch channel. A delay of 10 minutes will be applied to the stream to protect the integrity of the competition.If you plan to live stream yours or your team’s perspective, it is recommended that you apply the same delay to your own stream.

Prizepool

Any prizes for competing will be agreed before the tournament starts. In order to claim any physical prizes, participants must be a resident in the one of the regions listed in ‘Region Eligibility’

Scoring & Settings

ALGS Ruleset or nearest relevant ruleset will be utilised for all games and adjusted as necessary. No Match point system will be used.

● 1st place – 12 points ● 2nd place – 9 points ● 3rd place – 7 points ● 4th place – 5 points ● 5th place – 4 points ● 6th – 7th place – 3 points ● 8th – 10th place – 2 points ● 11th-15th place – 1 points ● 16th-20th place – 0 points

If a Team misses a Match (no Competitors from the Team competed in the Match), then the Team receives a Match Score of zero (0) for that Match.
